Freedom of choice for consumers and an open access market; that is the goal of the new Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) publication by ElaadNL. This publication describes in detail what it takes to have a public key infrastructure for ISO15118 that enables freedom for consumers and developers to participate in the charging infrastructure of the future.
On June 14th 2022 the new book was presented during the EVS35 in Oslo and became available as a download on the website of ElaadNL.
With the introduction of ISO 15118, a Public Key Infrastructure has become an essential part of the discussion regarding the future of the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. ElaadNL envisions a future in which every EV driver or owner can use any charge point, any charging service and any other option regarding the energy for his or her vehicle. This also means that every company, every new innovation and every service should be able to join with their services and products without any thresholds.
