There is work to be done in three themes:

People
Human Capital is essential for facilitating the growth of charging infrastructure. The shortage of manpower is not a unique problem for the charging infrastructure sector. The Hackathon encourages participants to develop new creative ideas to address the barriers concerning Human Capital within the charging infrastructure sector at various levels with the goal of getting more work done with fewer people.

Process
Setting up connection processes requires care and good coordination between relevant parties. Ensuring a streamlined and fast connection process and maintaining a good charging infrastructure network is a constant challenge. The Hackathon encourages participants to think about new and creative ideas to speed up the connection process of charging infrastructure.

Technology
The technological aspect of charging infrastructure is constantly evolving. Today, a charging station is more than just a device to charge an electric car or plug-in hybrid. Developments such as smart/grid-aware charging and Vehicle To Everything have a lot of potentials but also bring additional connection requirements. The Hackathon challenges participants to think about new technological solutions that can increase the maximum feasibility of charging infrastructure and enable further scaling.

In five work sessions, which will be guided, on Thursday, May 16, and Friday, May 17, you will work with your team towards the final result: a project plan with a product description, a business case, and a strategy for the rollout of the innovation.
