28 – 30 March: Global EV Charging Test – V2X edition

On March 28 through 30, ElaadNL and the Open Charge Alliance (OCA) join forces to organize a three-day symposium and test event:  The Global EV Charging Test – V2X Edition.

This event will host a symposium on March 28th and an OCPP Plugfest on March 29 & 30. The symposium is free of charge, the Plugfest is free for members of the OCA, non-members can participate by paying a registration fee.

Keynote on V2X – Are we in the future yet?

Keynote by Ben Wender – Special Advisor Z.E. infrastructure at the California Energy Commission (CEC).

Ben Wender serves as a Special Advisor to Commissioner Patty Monahan of the California Energy Commission (CEC). His portfolio includes zero emission vehicle infrastructure programs and informing strategies to efficiently and flexibly integrate electric vehicle (EV) charging with the grid. Previously he worked in the CEC’s Energy Research and Development Division where he managed research projects spanning vehicle grid integration, bidirectional charging, and EV battery reuse and recycling.

Senior Principal at Afry Management Consulting, Future Cities and Mobility. Yasmine is an energy professional, with expertise on Energy Management, Smart Grid, and electro-mobility ecosystem over full value chain. Before joining AFRY, she was Energy Services program Director in a large French car manufacturer, leading the design,  deployment of charging services for Electric Vehicles.

Robin and Thijs wil present the newest technology on V2X and how it works. Mathijs will present a municipalities’ view on the subject.

In this session, three leading OEM experts will share their view on V2X charging.

Thomas Neuman –  Secretary General at AVERE – The European Association for Electromobility

As Policy Manager at AVERE – the European Association for Electromobility, Thomas leads the association’s work on all EU policy developments relevant to the deployment of e-mobility – from emissions standards to battery regulation, and from infrastructure rollout targets to enabling conditions for smart charging and V2X.

Agenda OCPP Plugfest March 29 & 30th

Day 2 and 3 of the Global EV Charging Test will be organized in association with the Open Charge Alliance. It will feature an OCPP Plugfest testing event and a side programme.
Testing will take place from March 29th at 9:00h until March 30th 16:30h. On the evening of Wednesday, there will be a dinner and a get-together untill 22:30h.
