On 17 and 18 June 2026, ElaadNL organised the second edition of the Residential Flexibility Test Event. During the event, producers and manufacturers of HEMS, EV chargers, stationary batteries, solar inverters, heat pumps and other technologies came together to test interoperability in practice.
Participants were able to connect their hardware and software to products from other market players in a multi-vendor environment. Under the guidance of ElaadNL experts, they exchanged knowledge, carried out testing and learned from each other’s solutions.
The goal was to contribute to seamless communication between Flexible Energy Intensive Devices (FEIDs) and Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS), as an important step towards market-wide alignment and future certification.
It was a productive event with enthusiastic, cooperative participants who were able to exchange knowledge openly. This marked another valuable step towards taking residential flexibility to the next level.
Following the success of the first two editions, a third test event will take place on 28 and 29 October 2026. Registration is now open.
