ElaadNL - Testopstelling in het Elaad Testlab

Presentation of Results Smart Charging Test Program

Tuesday September 30th 2025 / 10.00 am - 2.00 pm

Part of national program 'Smart Charging for All'

International presentation of the results of large scale technical smart charging test of electric vehicles*

Recently ElaadNL conducted the world’s largest smart charging test program known to date. Over a period of 11 months, 114 different Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and 28 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) of all makes and models were thoroughly tested at the Elaad Testlab in Arnhem. This sample group of 142 vehicles is broadly representative of the current Dutch passenger car fleet.

The tests performed in this test program focused on customer perspective power quality immunity and power quality emissions, with smart charging scenario’s ranging from present usage to extreme conditions. The findings in this report not only serve national ambitions but also provide insights for international developments in smart mobility.

On September 30th we present the anonymized results and will discuss the recommendations and follow-up with experts from European organizations.
The event will be held in English.
