Testevents in 2026

In order to optimally support the development of communication between FEIDs and HEMS ElaadNL has expanded on the proven concept of testivals for EVs and chargers to domestic FEIDs and HEMS, starting in 2026. During each test event, the current performance and remaining research areas of hardware and software brought by participants can be tested against other market products in an easy to enter environment. The aim is to reach an official certification for interoperable FEIDs and HEMS by the end of 2026.  

The dates for the first three test events have been set at February 12 & 13 2026, June 17 & 18 2026 and October 28 & 29 2026.
During the first event, there will be no restrictions on which protocols can be tested. In the follow-up events, only the selected protocols will be accepted.  

At the first test event, 16 parties registered, evenly divided over HEMS and FEID manufacturers. In timeslots, interoperability tests as well as use case based tests were carried out. We will publish a short video in week 11/12.

In the second testevent on June 17 and 18, we aim for double the amount of manufacturers and we will focus exclusively on the protocols EEbus, Matter, OCPP, S2 and OpenADR. We will provide suggested test scripts for interoperability and the three core use cases: following dynamic tariff incentives, increasing self-consumption, responding to grid limitations.
During each slot, time will be available for parties to add their own tests.
