Assessments
The initiation of the assessment proces
The asssessment process started in 2017 to standardise grid connection in charging stations. Our goal? To connect only safe objects to the public grid. To accomplish this, grid operators have drawn up requirements that each object must meet. To check whether objects meet these requirements, a national assessment process has been set up. This is coordinated and facilitated by ElaadNL.
Since 2023, we not only inspect charging stations, but also unmanned objects. All approved objects will be certified and published. As shown above, the process consists of 10 stages. These are explained step by step in the grid operator assessment manual.
