Connection conditions for grid assessment

A document containing technical requirements and specifications has been drawn up for each object group. These documents form the basis for the grid operator’s section of (new) objects. The assesment determines whether an object can be connected to the public electricity grid.

The assessment is carried out by experts from the cooperating grid operators through Stichting ElaadNL in Arnhem, under the coordination of Netbeheer Nederland.

The requirements ensure a safe and reliable connection to the public grid. Download the requirements by subcategory below.

Standardisation of technology in objects

Grid operators have drawn up joint technical specifications for objects. This standard helps manufacturers and market parties to meet grid operators’ requirements faster. The grid operator’s section of an object only needs to be inspected once. After that, it can be used in all service areas of Dutch grid operators.

Concession providers are advised to include these requirements in their Schedule of Requirements. A standard text is available for this purpose, which can be adopted directly. It is available as a download below.

Charging light poles

Charging stations and lighting poles both need a connection to the energy grid, but they also both have their own specific characteristics. As a result, there are clear differences between these objects. When integrating both into charging light poles, there are a number of concerns. Based on practical examples from previous pilots and future developments, the information sheet discusses the differences and offers important points for consideration when realising charging light poles.
