A new paper sets out <\/strong><strong>the route from protocol choices to implementation, testing and standardisation. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Homes are rapidly becoming active parts of the energy system. Electric vehicles, heat pumps, home batteries, solar PV and other electrical devices increasingly determine when electricity is consumed, stored or fed back into the grid, instead of traditional production plants. For these domestic devices to contribute to a reliable energy system, they need to work together. Not only within the home, but also with energy markets and the electricity grid.<\/p>\n<p>ElaadNL is helping to develop the communication standard that connects homes, devices, energy markets and grid signals.
